Mind Care PRO is for age 18 years old to 65 years old.

Mind Care PRO is a single-use 2-in-1 health plan that allows you to have a 50-minute counseling session/consultation with a PhilCare Psychologist and a consultation with a DigiMed PLUS Specialist through the PhilCare Member Gateway. It also covers two (2) Mental Health Assessment / Screening and five (5) online chat support with mental health associates. This Certificate of Coverage is valid within one (1) year upon purchase. If cancellation is made less than 24 hours from the scheduled appointment, benefit shall already be considered utilized.

BENEFIT COVERAGE

Coverable Cases

Covers one (1) online consultation for deeper psychological issues not covered by mental health counseling and not requiring urgent care. Endorsement for psychiatric evaluation, when necessary, is also covered under this plan.

Psychological Consultation covers severe cases involving:

  • Depressive Disorders
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders
  • Trauma and Stressor-Related Disorders
  • Somatic Symptom Disorders
  • Feeding and Eating Disorders
  • Elimination Disorders
  • Sleep-Wake Disorders

Psychological Consultation Limitations

Psychological Consultation does not cover:

  • Cases requiring in-person psychiatric consultation for proper assessment, treatment, or medication management
  • Individuals advised to undergo or currently under psychiatric care
  • Individuals mandated by relevant authorities to undergo psychotherapy
  • Psychiatric cases requiring diagnosis of mental disorders
  • Cases requiring medical prescriptions

Emergency or Crisis Situations Not Covered:

  • Severe panic attacks requiring immediate psychological and physical assessment
  • Indications of harm to self or others
  • Violent tendencies
  • Repeated suicidal ideation
  • Actual suicide attempts or imminent self-harm situations

Mental and emotional wellness checks or counseling for experiences, conditions, feelings, or circumstances not specifically listed as covered are excluded.

Medical Consultation with a Specialist

Covers one (1) teleconsultation with a Physician from any of the following specialties:

  • Internal Medicine (Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, etc.)
  • Pediatric Medicine
  • Surgery (General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, etc.)
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Dermatology

Included Benefits

  • Issuance of medical assessment and prescription
  • Endorsement for laboratory tests or procedures when necessary
  • Referral for specialty consultation when necessary
  • Interpretation of laboratory test results
  • Consultations for pre-existing conditions not requiring emergency attention

Medical Consultation Limitations

Mind Care PRO does not cover medical conditions requiring an in-person consultation, physical examination, or direct visualization for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Examples include:

  • Emergency cases such as heart attack, stroke, or traumatic injuries
  • Hypertensive emergencies
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe burns
  • Animal bites
  • Maternity-related concerns including labor, pre-eclampsia, threatened abortion, bleeding, and fetal distress
  • Post-operative follow-up and complications
  • Dental consultations
  • Mental health-related conditions
  • Behavioral disorders
  • Developmental, psychiatric, or psychosomatic disorders whether congenital or acquired
  • "Fit to Work" assessments or medical clearances requiring certification

MindCheck: Mental Health Assessment / Screening

Includes two (2) Mental Health Assessment / Screening sessions using:

  • Perceived Stress Scale
  • Depression and Anxiety Scale

Chat Support with Mental Health Associates

Covers five (5) online chat support sessions with Mental Health Associates.

AVAILMENT PROCEDURE

You can maximize the benefits of your Mind Care PRO health plan in two ways:

  • Book a counseling session or consultation with a Psychologist.
  • Book a consultation with a DigiMed Specialist.

Setting Your Appointment with a PhilCare DigiMed PLUS Psychologist

  • Visit https://www.philcare.com.ph.
  • Click the Member Gateway tab and select “DigiMed PLUS, Mind Care PRO and Mind Care PLUS Consult? Click Here”.
  • Enter the reference number indicated in the email notification.
  • Input the patient's basic information.
  • Submit and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • From the left-side menu, click Mind Care PRO.
  • Select Do Psychologic Consult.
  • On the "Steps to Request an Appointment" page, click Proceed to the Consent Form.
  • Accomplish and sign the Consent Form.
  • Wait for a call from the Medical Team to schedule an appointment (Monday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
  • An email notification will be sent confirming the appointment details.

Setting Your Appointment with a PhilCare DigiMed PLUS Specialist

  • Visit https://www.philcare.com.ph.
  • Click the Member Gateway tab and select “DigiMed PLUS, Mind Care PRO and Mind Care PLUS Consult? Click Here”.
  • Enter the reference number indicated in the email notification.
  • Input the patient's basic information.
  • Submit and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • From the left-side menu, click Mind Care PRO.
  • Select Do Digital Consult.
  • Click Doctor Schedule to view available schedules.
  • Request an appointment with your preferred DigiMed PLUS Specialist.
  • Select your preferred date and time, enter your chief complaint, and confirm the request.
  • Check your appointment request under My Appointments → Sent Requests.

Video Teleconsultation Procedure (Day of Consultation)

  • Log in through the PhilCare Member Gateway or the link provided via email or SMS at least 15 minutes before your appointment.
  • Click “DigiMed PLUS, Mind Care PRO and Mind Care PLUS Consult? Click Here”.
  • Click the Upcoming Appointment link on the lower portion of the screen.
  • At the scheduled appointment time, click Join Call.
  • Ensure your camera and microphone are enabled before joining.
  • Proceed with the video teleconsultation with the DigiMed PLUS Psychologist or Specialist.
  • Click End Call once the consultation is completed.

MindCheck: Mental Health Assessment / Screening

  • Log in to https://philcare.com.ph/gateway/nonmember/validate
  • Enter the Reference Number provided in the Certificate of Coverage (COC).
  • Choose MindCheck from the menu options.
  • Complete the registration details and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • Answer and submit the survey.
  • Results will be emailed to the nominated email address provided during registration.

Chat with Mindscapes

  • Log in to https://philcare.com.ph/gateway/nonmember/validate
  • Enter the Reference Number provided in the Certificate of Coverage (COC).
  • Choose Chat with Mindscapes from the menu options.
  • Wait for the next available Mental Health Associate to connect and assist you.

📝 Refund Policy: You may cancel within 15 days of receiving your Certificate of Coverage if unused. Email: prepaidcs@philcare.com.ph

📩 You will receive a soft copy of the full policy contract within 24 hours from release of your Certificate of Coverage. You may also request it via: order@philcare.com.ph

💡 If you do not agree with the Terms and have not registered your product, you may request a refund subject to PhilCare’s Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy.

✅ You confirm that all personal and health information provided is true and correct. Misrepresentation may result in cancellation of membership or denial of coverage.

Coverage Activation Timelines
  • Emergency Plans – activates within 7 calendar days
  • VidaCare – activates within 7 calendar days
  • Consultation Plans – activates within 3 days
  • DigiMed and MindCare – activate within 24 hours
  • Dengue RX and Dengue Assist – activate within 30 days

Coverage begins automatically on the activation date. Conditions or incidents occurring before activation are not covered.

💵 Some plans may include a co-pay amount that must be settled before coverage applies.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

General Exclusions

No Healthcare Benefits shall be paid for the following services, procedures, or conditions unless otherwise specified in the Agreement:

  1. Behavioral, developmental, psychiatric, or psychosomatic disorders.
  2. Sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, and vulvar warts.
  3. Injuries from riots, strikes, and civil disturbances.
  4. Diseases declared epidemic or pandemic by health authorities.
  5. Cosmetic and beautification procedures unless reconstructive due to accidental injury.
  6. Weight reduction programs and obesity-related procedures.
  7. Dental procedures except those needed after accidental injury.
  8. Pregnancy-related conditions and complications.
  9. Circumcision, sterilization, artificial insemination, infertility treatment, and sex transformation.
  10. Experimental medical treatments and alternative therapies.
  11. Routine physical examinations for employment, school, licensing, or permits.
  12. Screening procedures.
  13. Self-inflicted injuries, tattoos, piercings, attempted suicide, and related complications.
  14. Injuries related to negligence, illegal drugs, alcohol, crimes, or dangerous activities.
  15. Alcoholism and drug addiction-related illnesses.
  16. Professional sports and hazardous activities.
  17. Military service and war-related injuries.
  18. Chronic dermatoses.
  19. Non-emergency services from non-affiliated providers.
  20. Additional hospital charges beyond covered limits.
  21. Custodial, domiciliary, convalescent, and intermediate care.
  22. Medical certificates.
  23. Professional fees of medico-legal officers.
  24. Organ donation and transplant donor-related expenses.
  25. Benefits already covered by PhilHealth or government healthcare programs.
  26. Charges exceeding MBL and inner limits.
  27. Durable medical equipment and oxygen outside covered confinement.
  28. Corrective appliances and prosthesis such as stents, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and pacemakers.
  29. Hepatitis B, C, and D.
  30. Allergens for hypersensitivity testing.
  31. Blood screening and blood typing for donors.
  32. Executive checkups and diagnostic confinement.
  33. Assault-related injuries caused by the member.
  34. Professional fee excess charges.
  35. Take-home medicines, vitamins, supplements, and non-therapeutic drugs.
  36. Outpatient medicines except emergency treatment and IV chemotherapy.
  37. Vaccines, whether elective or emergency-administered.
  38. Error of refraction conditions such as myopia and astigmatism.
  39. Outpatient pain management except emergencies.
  40. Complications from non-covered procedures.
  41. Conditions covered by law or government programs.

General Limitations

  1. PhilCare is not liable for delays caused by disasters, epidemics, war, riots, labor disputes, or unavailable facilities/personnel.
  2. Members shoulder costs if the working diagnosis is initially non-covered until final diagnosis confirms eligibility.
  3. Hospital services are subject to hospital rules and room availability.
  4. Total covered costs cannot exceed the benefit limit during the one-year term.
